Going Out to Sea: A Message from Goddess Ma-Zu

Goddess Mazu blesses the voyage of ships bravely setting out to sea.

I channeled a message from Goddess Ma-Zu this morning as I sought guidance for my own personal endeavors. Goddess Ma-Zu is very precious to the Taiwanese people and she is known to bless fishermen and boat folk. Growing up, I was never taught about Ma-Zu and was certainly never taught that any god or goddess in the Chinese pantheon “loved” me. I am correcting that now by forging my own personal connection with my ancestral deities.

The Sea is treacherous, but that does not mean we do not go on.

Within the waves, lies adventure, lies transcendence, lies Nirvana.

The waves are a part of Living.

If you never leave shore, you may believe that you are safe.

But you will always wonder what would’ve happened if you

Followed your Heart.

At that point,

the land you believed to be your safety

becomes your Hell.

Taste the sweet freedom it is to be at Sea.

You do not need any reward,

because Joy is a reward itself.

It grips you

from the core of your body

all the way down to your extremities.

It is how you know you are ALIVE.

How you know you are human.

To experience risk and opportunity

In the Spirit world,

We do not experience this game.

So experience it NOW.
